1. U.S. Special Operations Command will host a capabilities demonstration today from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Tampa Convention Center. The simulation is part of the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference and will include more than 175 SOCOM and international service members from 11 nations. (Tampa Patch)

2. Tampa Streetcar Live is returning to town after a 2 year hiatus due to the pandemic on Friday, May 20. Gasparilla Music Fest is a partner in the ongoing series. Artist Whale Feral will board the streetcar at Centennial Park Station at 6 p.m. to kick off the return. (That’s So Tampa)

3. The owners behind King State, a popular coffee roaster and beer spot in Tampa Heights, are opening a brewery across the bridge in St. Pete called Temple of Beer. It will be located at 1776 11th Ave. in St. Petersburg and will host its first party on Saturday, May 21 at noon. (Creative Loafing Tampa)

4. A local mental health advocacy nonprofit, Tampa Bay Thrives, has announced a new phone service called “Let’s Talk.” The phone number is: 844-YOU-OKAY. It is free and offers 24/7 confidential support for mental health. The nonprofit says Florida ranks 49th in the country in terms of access to mental health services. (Bay News 9)

5. OnSite Screenings LLC, now known as Horizon Health Services and Technology, and its CEO, Thutrung Alexis Nguyen, are suing Hillsborough County seeking more than $50 million over a terminated COVID-19 vaccine contract. The suit alleges county scapegoated OnSite Screenings and fired it improperly to direct the contract to CDR Maguire. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Times)

Monday, dignitaries joined TGH President and CEO John Couris and Heather Higgins, CEO of TGH Rehabilitation Hospital, to cut the ribbon on the 80-bed freestanding facility. (Facebook)
