Good morning, Tampa Bay. Here’s what you need to know today.
Your Weather Planner
Residents need to remain on alert for the possibility of severe weather Tuesday morning. An area of low pressure will move in from the Gulf of Mexico with areas of rain and some thunderstorms. A few storms could produce locally high wind gusts and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out, especially south of I-4. Most areas will just see some gusty showers.
A cold front will move through with breezy northwest winds. Temperatures will drop into the 60s later in the day as cooler, drier air fills in.

Pollution-fueled algae blooms are cited as the cause of over half of the more than 1,000 manatee deaths in Florida this year, according to a news release from the Center for Biological Diversity, Defenders of Wildlife and Save the Manatee Club.
