1. There is a variety of events taking place this weekend in Tampa where children can enjoy the tradition of hunting for Easter eggs. Tampa Patch has a great write-up with options to enjoy including Bunny Divers At The Florida Aquarium, Raprager Family Farm Easter Events, Hop On The Lawn at Armature Works, and more. (Tampa Patch)

2. Ardent Mills, previously located in Water Street for five decades but now relocated to Gibsonton, is celebrating its new state-of-the-art technology and status as the most automated flour mill in the country. It is one of only two flour mills that exist in the state of Florida. (Fox 13 Tampa)

3. Downtown St. Petersburg’s MacDinton’s location, which opened in 2011, has abruptly closed. When Ringside Bar and Cafe closed in 2021, a manager there told CL Tampa Bay that they expected MacDinton’s to also be closed and replaced with a western bar. 4. An 84-year-old man was shot outside a St. Petersburg convenience store early Saturday morning. According to St. Petersburg Police, the elderly man was sitting in his car in the parking lot of MLK Food Store, located at 1500 Dr. M.L.K. Street South, when he was shot. An investigation is underway. (ABC Action News)

5. The Arts4All Florida Young Performers Competition awarded 18-year-old Lawrence Carter from Pasco County for excellence in dance performance this year. Carter is a high school junior who was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 2½. Carter will perform an interpretive dance to The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun” in a Arts4All Florida Youth Ensemble music video later this summer. (83 Degrees Media)
