1. A 982-unit apartment complex has changed hands in a deal secured by a $207 million mortgage. The buyer is ZMR Capital in Tampa, which bought it from NorthEnd Equities and Residential Management. NorthEnd paid $123 million for the property in 2019. (Business Observer)

2. The Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival is now underway and running through April 24th. It took 11 days to c0nstruct the 21,000-square-foot Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit that will be viewed by thousands of visitors during the 17 day period. This year’s theme is “An Animal Adventure,” the sculptures include larger-than-life, fantastical bears, penguins, dragons, and more. (Tampa Patch)

3. Plant City’s Keel Farms will release a limited-edition beer in support of Ukrainians who’ve been under attack from Russian forces since late February. Resolve beer will be available on Saturday, April 16th during the Keel Farms’ Tampa Bay Blueberry Festival. Proceeds will go towards two non-profits supporting the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine through direct aid. (Creative Loafing Tampa)

4. Synovus, a Georgia bank with more than a dozen branches in Tampa Bay, is planning a 10,829-square-foot office suite at Thousand & One in Water Street Tampa, which opened last summer. According to a project description filed with the city of Tampa, the space in Suite 700 will be built to include 29 offices, five conference rooms and more than a half-dozen other private workspaces, collaboration areas and break or IT rooms. 5. Five years after the start of a news investigation, John Hartnett, the owner of defunct Gulf Coast Boat Sales, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with two felony counts of money laundering and scheme to defraud. His general manager, James Laden, was also arrested and charged with a scheme to defraud. The Florida State Attorney’s Office claims victims lost around $800,000. (WFLA)
