Officials: Hurricane debris fueling Florida wildfires
BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) — Emergency crews in the Florida Panhandle have been battling two massive wildfires throughout the weekend, and they say debris from a hurricane that hit the area nearly three years may have fueled the fire.
Almost three million acres of timber fell in Hurricane Michael, so officials said they aren’t surprised that a fire this large erupted. Officials said the timber is also contributing to how fast the fire has been spreading.

It’s all in an effort to get money straight into the hands of war-ravaged Ukrainians as Russian troops continue to bombard the country. Volunteers from around the world have been booking Airbnb listings, transferring money to the hosts, and sending messages of support through the platform.

Supreme Court turns away appeal in Bill Cosby case
(The Hill) — The Supreme Court on Monday turned away a bid by a Pennsylvania prosecutor to appeal a state court ruling last summer that overturned actor Bill Cosby’s sexual assault conviction.
The justices’ move, which came in a brief unsigned order without noted dissent, leaves intact a June ruling by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court that led to Cosby’s release from prison.
